The most important part of the ECGT is the opportunities it creates for its members. Like many of the clubs on campus, Energy Club offers great opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through our Energy Chats and network with professionals at the Energy Expo. However, what sets the Energy Club apart is the way we encourage our members to propose new pathways for the club. In the past few years alone, our members have launched a career fair geared towards start-up companies, designed a fundraising campaign that brought in $16,000 from industry sponsors, and developed a partnership with the Center for Distributed Energy to help entrepreneurial students bring their ideas to life. There are plenty of great students at Georgia Tech, and it’s the ability to tell those kinds of stories that will set you apart from the crowd.
